Henning Kothe
Henning has an MSc in Industrial Engineering and was the Project Director of Nord Stream AG and Nord Stream 2 AG. After completion of the first Nord Stream Project in 2013, he, together with 6 partners, set up StreamTec as an independent and privately owned spin-off company of Nord Stream. Henning is the CEO of StreamTec. Before his Nord Stream positions, Henning worked several years for an international Management Consultancy in various industry areas. Thereafter, he held management positions with focus on infrastructure projects in a leading German energy company.
Within Nord Stream, Henning was the Project Director responsible for Procurement, Engineering and Construction. He managed the start-up phase for the company and developed the project organisation from basic design through to commissioning of the pipelines. Following completion of the project, he led Nord Stream’s project team for the feasibility study on Lines 3 and 4 and became in August 2015 the Chief Project Officer of Nord Stream 2 AG.
Henning’s particular expertise is in developing, structuring and leading project organisations for large infrastructure projects. He has broad experience and excellent skills in consulting client’s top-management in organisational, processual and specific key business areas like Procurement. Having worked 25 years in several leading functions for large infrastructure projects, he has excellent skills in communicating on all hierarchical levels including shareholders, project teams, contractors and other third party stakeholders.
