Nicklas Andersson
Nicklas has a Master’s degree in political administration and economics. He started his professional career in the Governmental sector in Sweden, working within enterprise and finance related sectors. During this time, he also participated in and led international development projects, mainly in Eastern Europe.
Nicklas joined as a partner of StreamTec in 2013. He then left Nord Stream AG where he had worked as Head of Permitting for Sweden and Denmark, being responsible for receiving all necessary construction and operation permits for the twin gas pipelines and being responsible for the stakeholder relations.
Nicklas has led the permitting team in securing all necessary permits for the C-Lion1 telecom cable project (from Finland to Germany) and been responsible for receiving the permits for the Baltika telecom cable through Swedish EEZ. He also led the Swedish permitting team for the Nord Stream 2 project which successfully acquired all necessary permits and acceptances in time for the construction and operation of the twin gas pipelines.
Nicklas' has over 15 years of experience managing permitting processes and preparing the permitting strategy for offshore projects. His main expertise is in structuring and managing national and international permitting processes, including environmental and social impact assessments and the related stakeholder management. He has excellent skills in communicating and negotiating with ministries, authorities and NGOs after having worked for 20 years within or together with official institutions.
