Deutsche Ostsee LNG Terminal

The new "Deutsche Ostseeā€ in Mukran is the largest and most powerful LNG terminal in Germany. With a throughput capacity of 13.5 bcma per annum and plans for an H2 electrolyser to produce green hydrogen, it guarantees energy security in the short term and sustainable renewable energy in the long term.

The two FRSUs will regularly load significant quantities of LNG from LNG carriers and then re-gasify the LNG prior to injection into the German gas grid in Lubmin.

The project was deemed as being ultra fast track and was completed in record time. StreamTec Solutions were selected by Deutsche Regas to manage the technical planning, procurement of materials, construction and pre-commissioning works related to the DN800 interconnecting pipeline in Mukran between the two FSRUs and the 51km DN1200 OAL offshore pipeline.
