Nord Stream 2
Nord Stream 2 is a twin pipeline stretching 1,230 km through the Baltic Sea. Each line comprises around 100,000 individual pipes, each 12 m in length.
StreamTec personnel had key positions within Management, Construction, Permitting and Materials. Compared to the first Nord Stream Project, Nord Stream 2 developed several unconventional solutions to construct the pipelines in sensitive environmental areas (at the landfalls in Russia and Germany) and implemented a dry pre-commissioning concept.
The project is developed by PJSC Gazprom with support from the financial investors: ENGIE, OMV, Shell, Uniper and Wintershall Dea.
