South Stream / Turkstream
South Stream / TurkStream starts on the Russian Black Sea coast near the town of Anapa, runs over 930 km through the Black Sea and comes ashore in the Thrace region of Turkey. It is a twin pipeline system, with pipe diameter of 32 inch and 39mm wall thickness. It is installed in water depths down to 2200m. The transport capacity is 31.5 billion cubic metres annually.
StreamTec was involved in the Materials supply process of the project and provided various services and key personnel to the project team located in Amsterdam during the most active project phase, when line pipes and valves etc. were manufactured.
The project is developed by South Stream Transport BV, a 100% subsidiary of Gazprom.
