The Trans Adriatic Pipeline
The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) is part of the Southern Gas Corridor, transporting natural gas to Europe from the Shah Deniz II field in Azerbaijan. Connecting with the Trans Anatolian Pipeline at the Greek-Turkish border, TAP crosses Northern Greece, Albania (765 km, 48 inch OD) and offshore across the Adriatic Sea (105 km, 36 inch OD, 810m water depth) before coming ashore in Southern Italy to connect to the Italian natural gas network. The (initial) transport capacity is 10 billion cubic meters annually.
During the development and construction phase, personnel from StreamTec were involved in key functions of the Project Management and provided various services to the TAP Project, including pre-qualification of pipe suppliers, procurement services (tendering, contract management, EU public procurement), project quality management, tendering and selection of project management consultant, Offshore construction management, Onshore construction Albania and also general consultancy to the TAP management.
The project is developed BP, Socar, Snam S.p.A., Fluxys, Enagás and Axpo.
