Baltika Submarine Cable

The Baltika Submarine cable is a 1115km long telecom cable connecting Kaliningrad (Russia) to Kingisepp (close to St. Petersburg, Russia) through the Baltic Sea.  The route for laying the fibre-optic cable in the waters of the Baltic Sea has 50 crossings with gas pipelines, power cables and communication cables.

StreamTec managed the permitting and environmental processes in Sweden and Finland, provided support in the route development and negotiated the crossing agreements with cable/pipeline owners (2019).

The cable has a capacity of 100 Gbps and the project owner is Rostelecom.
