C-Lion 1

C-Lion 1 is a 1173 km long telecom cable through the Baltic Sea between Helsinki (Finland) and Rostock (Germany), with an additional landing point in Hanko (Finland). It was constructed in 2015/2016 and was taken into operation on schedule in 2016. The cable has eight fiber pairs and a total capacity of 144 terabits per second.

StreamTec personnel had key positions within the Owner's Project Management and provided the permitting services for the turn-key contractor.
